COVID-19: What You Should Know

We understand that people in our community are naturally concerned about the continued presence of COVID-19. Flagler Health+ has navigated through the COVID-19 pandemic together and we remain vigilant about ensuring the safety of our staff and patients. Even though more and more people in our area are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, Flagler Health+ is following the CDC's guidance and still requires patients and visitors to wear a mask and practice social distancing at all locations.

COVID-19 Daily Update

For more than 130 years, Flagler Health+ has been effectively and safely caring for patients who require isolation precautions. We are confident in our ability to provide the safest, most effective care for our patients and community, no matter what lies ahead.

As a way to offer some clarity and an additional level of transparency, we will be producing a daily dashboard each weekday with the most current information that we have available. This information will be shared to our social media stories and posted here on flaglerhealth.org/covid.

Visitation and Mask Policy (updated 7.30.21)

At Flagler Health+, we know that loved ones play a very important role in a patient’s recovery. It is also our responsibility to keep our patients, staff and visitors safe. To support this, an inter-professional team of physicians, infection prevention experts and leadership at Flagler Health+ has established a newly revised visitor policy appropriate for the current state of COVID-19 in our community.

Flagler Hospital

  • Masks must be worn.
  • One designated* visitor will be allowed to a patient room during the entire course of a patient stay. Patients in the Behavioral Health Unit may not have visitors.
  • During and after labor, two designated* visitors (including the baby’s father) may be present.
  • Patients who are COVID positive may not** have visitors.
  • Visiting hours remain 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

*Designated visitors must be 18+. They are screened for COVID-19 symptoms and registered into our system. A patient’s designated visitor may come and go during visiting hours but cannot switch out with a non-designated visitor.

**Exceptions may be made with physician orders, under specific circumstances

Medical office buildings

  • Masks are required; though individual private practices may have their own policies.

Other Flagler Health+ locations, off hospital campus (Health Villages, Imaging Center, Labs, etc.)
