Ellen Romanowski, MSHSA, BSN, RN

Ellen Romanowski is the Administrator of Maternal Child Services/Patient Experience for UF Health St. Johns where she oversees a service line that delivers more than 1,400 children annually.

UF Health Flagler Hospital's award-winning Labor and Delivery Department is the recipient of Healthgrades Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, Leapfrog’s Top-5% Best L&D Programs, and has a Healthgrades five-star rating for Vaginal and C-Section Deliveries. A Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides developmentally based care with the most advanced technology available. The community is supported with a wide variety of maternal-child educational offerings. Recently UF Health Flagler Hospital obtained the Kids for Cribs Gold Safe Sleep Hospital Certification in 2022 to prevent infant sleep-related deaths by educating parents and caregivers on the importance of safe sleep practices for their babies.

Prior to joining UF Health St. Johns , Mrs. Romanowski was the Administrative Director of Women’s Services for Advent Health in Sebring, Florida. The majority of her career was spent in Southeast Florida in various nursing administrative roles.

Mrs. Romanowski earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Fanshawe College in Ontario, Canada and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She received her Master of Science in Health Services Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida.

She serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of St. Augustine. Her professional affiliations include the Healthy Start Coalition, NE Florida Organization of Nurse Executives, Florida Organization of Nurse Executives, and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses.
