Todd Batenhorst, MD, MBA

Todd Batenhorst, MD, VP, CMO, Ambulatory Care​Dr. Todd Batenhorst is the Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, Ambulatory Care at UF Health St. Johns. In this position, Dr. Batenhorst helped lead the UF Health St. JohnsAmbulatory Enterprise from start-up through the growth phase, growing from one provider to 38 across five service lines. Additionally, he serves as Medical Director for Employee Health and for the UF Health St. JohnsPlus Bus.

Dr. Batenhorst has been serving the St. Augustine community since 2001. Prior to joining Flagler Health+, he practiced at Flagler Family Medicine, where he provided general primary care, was Medical Director for two nursing homes, and was Associate Medical Director for inpatient hospice. During his time there, he helped grow the organization from six providers to 15 and directed the implementation of the organization’s EMR, quality improvement initiatives, and patient center medical home status.

A graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University, he earned his Medical Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his internship and residency at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA. In 2020, Dr. Batenhorst earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Tennessee’s Haslam School of Business.

Dr. Batenhorst serves on the board of the Buckingham Smith Benevolent Association and the Council on Aging St. Johns County.

He is married to Katherine and enjoys reading, hiking, doing puzzles, golfing, and traveling.
