Cancer Education & Support Classes

Flagler's Cancer Education & Support Center houses a resource library for the community that is home to books and journals, Internet access stations, and an information desk with educational materials to make the experience for patients diagnosed with cancer as easy and informative as possible. The Education & Support Center works closely with numerous organizations dedicated to education, research and support for cancer patients and offers a variety of classes and support groups. Monthly classes include:

Living with Cancer Support Group (includes all types of cancer)

3rd Wednesday of each month at 11 am

Facilitated by Jan Felixson, LCSW, LMFC and Pat Dunn, a member of the National Lung Cancer Partnership.

This is an informal gathering for adults with any type of cancer and their family members and friends. It is open to all affected by cancer. This group will provide the opportunity to meet others in similar situations to share your stories, provide practical suggestions, and support each other. Breast Cancer Support Group

1st Tuesday of each month at 6 pm

The mission of the Breast Cancer Support Group of St. Augustine is to provide help, comfort and friendship to breast cancer patients, survivors and their families. They invite many guest speakers, including doctors, pharmacists, nutritionists, educators, etc. They gather together to share the company of others with similar experiences and offer each other comfort and support.
