Money Magazine Best Hospitals in America

Money Magazine partnered with The Leapfrog Group, a health care nonprofit, to compile their list of the Best Hospitals in America for the first time in 2022. UF Health Flagler Hospital was included in the inaugural list aimed at helping patients make educated decisions about which institutions are best for their money.

Leapfrog Awards

The highest performing hospitals on the Leapfrog Hospital Survey are recognized annually with the prestigious Leapfrog Top Hospital award. Top Hospitals have better systems in place to prevent medication errors, higher quality of maternity care, and lower infection rates, among other laudable qualities.

Healthgrades Awards

Healthgrades evaluates hospital quality for conditions and procedures based solely on clinical outcomes to help consumers understand, compare and evaluate hospital performance. Healthgrades measures hospital performance for the most common in-hospital procedures and conditions and adjust for each patient’s risk factors, such as age, gender and medical condition. Their analysis is based on more than 45 million Medicare medical claims records and other select data available from nearly 4,500 hospitals nationwide for the most recent three-year period.

    Commission on Cancer Accredited Program

    UF Health Flagler Hospital is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Our program offers a full range of diagnostic and treatment services, particularly cancer-related clinical research by enrolling patients in cancer-related clinical trials, accessions more than 500 newly diagnosed cancer cases each year. Has been continuously accredited since 2002.

    National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers

    The NAPBC standards for accreditation address the full continuum of cancer—from prevention to survivorship and end-of-life care—while addressing both survival and quality of life.

    American Heart Association Stroke Award

    UF Health Flagler Hospital earned the Get With the Guidelines Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award in 2022 by the American Heart Association. This award recognizes the hospital’s commitment and success in ensuring that stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.

    UF Health Flagler Hospital has attained advanced certification by The Joint Commission by meeting high standards in providing home care.

    UF Health St. Johns Employee Wellness Program Honored

    UF Health St. Johns and its employee wellness program have been honored by the First Coast Worksite Council with the Platinum Level Award. This is the fifth consecutive year that we have earned the highest level (Platinum) of this award.     UF Health Flagler Hospital’s Sleep Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine

    Our sleep center has demonstrated a commitment to the highest quality of care in the treatment and diagnosis of sleep disorders. In order to become accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, sleep centers must comply with the AASM Standards for Accreditation, the gold standard for patient care in the sleep medicine field. These requirements incorporate the latest advances in sleep medicine and guarantee quality care to meet the needs of patients and referring physicians.
