For Providers and Staff

Is any job loss anticipated?

No significant changes are planned at this time in the organizational structure. We understand that our team members, physicians, and advanced practice providers are critical to our future success, and we cannot achieve our shared vision without our dedicated team members. UF Health St. Johns is committed to strengthening recruitment and retention of team members, physicians, and advanced practice providers to enhance the community’s access to local, quality health care.

Will employee benefits change?

From the beginning, our focus has been on maintaining the existing benefits our employees have but also giving them assurances that the partner we selected would be here long-term. Also, initially, the benefits we have, particularly health benefits, will remain the same as UF Health grows the GatorCare network throughout our service area.

What kind of changes will employees begin seeing?

Being associated with a flagship university in the state of Florida has a number of benefits, including capital resources, human resources, and other intangibles that our team members will have access to now that we have become part of UF Health. We know that within a 24-month period, we will be transitioning to the EPIC electronic medical records system. We also know that other items in the IT arena will change because those are the things that our team members, our doctors, and our patients need.

What does this mean for community physicians practicing at UF Health Flagler Hospital?

UF Health St. Johns is committed to maintaining strong relationships with our community physicians. We value our close collaboration with community physicians and look forward to continuing our partnership with them.
