Childbirth Preparation Classes

pregnant womanWe are pleased to offer a variety of free classes at Flagler Hospital. Following COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing, limited attendance, and masks will be required. We will be screening attendees at the door. Please do not attend if you are sick, have symptoms consistent with COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone known or under suspicion of having COVID-19.

Childbirth Education Class

Please register below to attend a free Childbirth Education Class. Classes are available at the main St. Augustine Flagler Hospital campus with sessions running from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket with you, as well as a small pillow. We will have multiple breaks throughout the day and a lunch break from noon - 1 pm. For lunch, you can bring your own food or leave to get something to eat.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class, Virtual Setting

A virtual prenatal breastfeeding class is held on the second Wednesday of the month at 1 pm. Email us at lactationservices@flaglerhealth.org if you would like to attend and we will send you a zoom invitation to join the class.

Mom-to-Mom Breastfeeding Chat & Support Group

  • Held every Thursday from 1:30 - 2:30 pm (beginning Jan, 2022).
  • For more information please call 904.819.4353.
  • Note: if the class date falls on a holiday there will be no class.
  • If you plan on attending, please email us in advance at lactationservices@flaglerhealth.org. The support group is a free service that is facilitated by Flagler Hospital nurses who are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants.

Anyone needing immediate assistance from one of our lactation specialists can call the lactation line at 904.819.4353. Monday - Friday between 9 am and 5 pm call to request a call back from one of our lactation team. Weekends 9 am - 5 pm please call 904.819.4351. One of our lactation specialists will return your call within 24 hours. Most weekends phone support is available from 9 am - 4 pm by calling the main desk on the Maternal-Child Unit at 904.819.4351.
