UF Health Flagler Hospital announced today that the hospital has purchased Outpatient Surgery Center of St. Augustine located at One Orthopaedic place. The business was previously operated by Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine. The center is a multispecialty surgery center which houses three operating rooms and one procedure room. It is anticipated that the operations will continue under the current name until early 2018 and that the primary services provided at the center will remain heavily focused in the areas of orthopedic surgery, pain management, podiatry and spine surgery.

"As more procedures transition to the outpatient setting and our area population continues to grow, it is important that we not only have enough capacity but also the right access and environment to best meet our patients’ needs,” said UF Health Flagler Hospital President Jason Barrett. “Our goal is to maximize convenience and efficiency for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.”

Having a larger stake in the area’s outpatient surgery services also allows UF Health Flagler Hospital to lead the way in improving coordination of patient care across all care settings. Patients scheduled for surgery can continue to access forms and information at http://surgerycenterstaug.com.
