Garrett Schwarzman, MD, Joins UF Health St. Johns Orthopedic Specialists

St. Augustine, Fla. October 6, 2022 – Dr. Garrett Schwarzman, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, has joined UF Health St. JohnsOrthopedic Specialists. Dr. Schwarzman is now practicing at the UF Health St. JohnsOrthopedic Specialists locations at UF Health Flagler Hospital’s St. Augustine campus and at the UF Health St. JohnsVillage at Nocatee.

Dr. Schwarzman joins the UF Health St. Johnsteam after completing his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the renowned Andrews Research Education Foundation in Gulf Breeze, FL.

“The addition of Dr. Schwarzman to the UF Health St. JohnsOrthopedic Specialists team will serve to provide even more top quality service to our community,” said Dr. David Rice, Chief Physician Executive. “His knowledge and his experience as an athlete adds to an already stellar orthopedic team.”

He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Chemistry and History with a pre-med focus. Dr. Schwarzman completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.

An accomplished athlete, Dr. Schwarzman competed in Crew at the University of Wisconsin and is a half-Ironman finisher who has twice run, and finished, the Chicago Marathon. He also enjoys traveling, biking, and working out with his wife.
