Dr. David Gay

Dr. David GayDr. Gay is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in disorders of the shoulder, elbow, and wrist. He is an honors graduate of Appalachian State University. His medical training was completed at the University of South Carolina and his residency training at the University of Florida – Jacksonville. He received his fellowship training at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery/Cornell University in hand and upper extremity. He completed a second international fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Melbourne Shoulder and Elbow Centre in Australia. Dr. Gay has a particular interest in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and computer-assisted and GPS shoulder replacement surgery.

Dr. Jeffery Keen

Dr. Jeff KeenDr. Jeffrey Keen is a board-certified fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgery. Dr. Keen graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Following residency, He then completed fellowship at the prestigious Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York City.

Dr. Corey Rosenbaum

Corey RosenbaumDr. Rosenbaum is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle replacements, lower extremity fracture care, cartilage restoration and sports medicine. Following completion of medical school, Dr. Rosenbaum completed a five-year orthopedic residency at the University of Florida including one year spent at the Mayo Clinic. A significant portion of this training was dedicated towards the treatment of trauma and fractures. After residency he spent an additional year of training by completing a subspecialty fellowship in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction at the University of Texas in Houston. His areas of specialty include orthopaedic fracture care with a special interest in hip and lower extremity fractures. Other areas of interest include complex ankle fractures, ankle arthroscopic surgery (minimally invasive), total ankle replacements, complex reconstructive ankle/foot surgery, deformity correction, limb salvage procedures, amputation revisions, tendon transfer/foot drop, foot fusions and treatment of Achilles tendonitis/ ruptures, sports related injuries, foot and ankle arthritis, flat feet, and bunions.

Dr. Scott Putney

Dr. Scott PutneyDr. Scott Putney specializes in surgery of the hand and upper extremities as well as microvascular surgery. He earned his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. He then went on to a fellowship program in hand surgery at the Christine Kleinert Institute at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Dr. Putney and his staff treat patients with diseases and injuries to the hand and upper extremities including the elbow, forearm, wrist and hand. Dr. Putney grew up in Richmond, VA. He is a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He is board certified in both orthopedic surgery as well as hand surgery, an additional qualification with rigorous ongoing standards to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care.

Taylor Voyles, PA-C

Taylor VoylesTaylor Voyles is a Certified Physician Assistant working in orthopaedic surgery. Her primary focus is treatment of the upper extremity, but also treats lower extremity ailments and injuries. She is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Physician Assistant program where she served as President of her class and President of the College of Healthcare Sciences Regional Campuses. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She is excited to bring her knowledge to her community and couples this excitement with her passion to bring her patients the highest quality care.

Jed Galasso, PA-C

Jed Galasso, PA-CA native of St. Augustine, Jed attended the University of Florida College of Medicine where he attained both his undergraduate and master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. After several years working in the Greater Tampa Bay Area, Jed returned home where he is excited to have the opportunity to care for his neighbors and help them overcome their orthopedic injuries.

Megan Newton, MMS, PA-C

Connor Smith, PA-CMegan Newton is a Certified Physician Assistant working in orthopaedic surgery. She is experienced as a surgical first assistant with expertise in performing procedures and clinical interventions, including joint aspirations and injections, suturing, wound care, splinting, and imaging interpretation. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Berry College in Mount Berry, GA, and her Master of Medical Science from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. Newton joined UF Health St. Johns from The Orthopaedic Clinic in Daytona Beach, FL, where she was a physician assistant. Prior to that, she worked as a Rehabilitation Technician in the SCI/Neurologic Program for Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital in Jacksonville.

Patrick Thompson, PA-C, MPAS

Patrick Thompson, PA-C, MPASPatrick Thompson​ and his family have been part of the St. Augustine community since 2003. He began his career as a Physician Assistant after completing his training at Western Michigan University and was awarded a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska. Patrick is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. He has advanced training in musculoskeletal ultrasound and joint rehabilitation and is passionate about delivering patient-centered care to ensure that his patients are always well informed and comfortable with their treatment as he believes that trust and compassion are essential components of his relationships with patients and colleagues.

Garrett R. Schwarzman, MD

Garrett R. Schwarzman, MDDr. Schwarzman earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, majoring in Chemistry and History with a pre-med focus. Dr. Schwarzman completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. An accomplished athlete, Dr. Schwarzman competed in Crew at the University of Wisconsin and is a half-Ironman finisher who has twice run, and finished, the Chicago Marathon. He also enjoys traveling, biking, and working out with his wife.
